Weather

San Sebastián – we had some overnight rain then some light drizzle in the morning. It was warm drizzle.

 

I was happy in my Cardiff 5K technical “T” shirt when I emerged in the morning to do the Gosaria 7K breakfast run.

I had a decent night’s sleep and my body battery was well charged. However, I was very stiff and sore when I woke up and when I ventured out I decided that I needed to go back to Almeda and take some Paracetamol and Ibuprofen. I did a lot of stretching before the start of the run and that helped. The run was in a group doing 10 mm. I coped with it OK. We had a pause at half way by the w ind sculpture for group photos. I ran back with Chris Taggart (from Teddington), the conversation helped to pass the metres by. After the run I had coffee and pain au chocolate (free). Then I collected my Marathon race number and “T” Shirt.

I had a late breakfast at Bar Maiatza, I had two English Teas with my Bacon Focaccia, I also had my meds. I walked for about 1000 metres to help my digestion. I returned to the Pension and had a snooze for an hour. I checked the football scores on my way to Juantxo Taberna where I had my medications, albondigas and a coke zero. I walked around the town hall to check the lie of the land for tomorrow morning and I had a coffee (para llevar) at the modern coffee shop just round the corner from the pension.

Monday 23 October 2023 Weather Typically, Autumn I weighed in and I lost 2.5 lbs last week. I must press ahead with a strict keto regime. I did Pilates at 09:15 with Claire. It felt a bit better this week. I had a short nap around lunch time. I did the Greyhound / Farmwood loop but it was a real struggle. Really tight hips and glutes. I have joined Caldicot Swimming Club. There is a South Wales Masters event on December 2 nd and 3 rd . Lorraine & Denise think that I could compete.
