 I did a 10.3 miles LSR with Chris Davies out and back from the front of the NISV, riverfront, canal towards 14 locks. returned via the opposite side of the riverfront (we met Chris Hill & Oz and had a chat). We returned via the back of the NISV.

 am Body Conditioning with Cara Gates pm Weston Prom Race I wore my Alpha Flys, it went Ok. 3 cruising miles with speed pick on miles 4 and 5

 am A SLOGS session. My legs were shot so I just ran out with the group and jog / walked back I then had a massage (Daniela Gormley)

Mon - 13/03/23

 am I did Pilates with Claire pm I did my Easy SS Run (20) but my legs were so shot that I did it as a recovery jog/walk, in addition, I accidentally did an extra lap of the top field. I did most of it before a rain shower arrived. I had planned to do this one after the strong winds had died down and before significant rainfall came. It that respect it was a success!

 My massage was cancelled due to snowfall I did an easy SS run wearing my fell running shoes. It was cold and sleeting.

 SLOGS intervals. My legs still shot after the half marathon. So.. I did.. A kind of Paarlauf  session. Run 5 lamposts out, walk two lamposts back then run the other three lamposts. I did that three times.

 am Pilates with Claire pm Easy SS Recovery Run (24 minutes)

 The Newport half marathon I ran this at roughly 9:30 pace (9:28 pace to be precise). There were two or three slower miles (the ones with inclines). The last four miles were my fastest, they were closer to 9 minute miling.        Today, my Whatsapp message to Zoe & Will was like this..        Last weekend was tough, with two back-to-back races, so, this week was an easier week as I eased down before the Newport Half Marathon. I did a “3 run week” plus a couple of exercise classes, one was a Pilates class, and one, a body conditioning class. The body conditioning class was led by Cara Gates, a former poker player and Lliswerry Runner now converted to gym class instructor. I did two short recovery runs during the week and then I did the Newport Half Marathon. Considering my poor state of fitness, I was pleased with my time of 2:05.   Geoff Newton Funeral I did an easy run around South Molton after the funeral, before meeting up with Kay and family in the Town Arms. Later we went to the Coaching Inn for some food. I played pool with Tam and Jenson. I was in bed by 10:30. The others carried on until closing time.
